Your United firefighters had a busy day today! We started the morning by taking Engine 2 to the Treasure House preschool group for a fire prevention demonstration. We explained basic fire safety, did a full gear demonstration, and let them look around and sit in the truck. Within an hour of returning from that, Ladder 3, Engines 2 and 6, as well as Rescue 1 were dispatched to a working structure fire. After the fire was extinguished and the scene was picked up, we headed back to the station to wash and replace the hose that used so we're ready for whatever happens next!
