Yesterday at 3pm, your United Volunteers were dispatched for a small propane heater on Ridge Road that exploded and caught the basement on fire

Crews operated for about an hour. At 6:30pm, crews returned to the station and shoveled all of the hydrants in our first due area. At 4am this morning, your United Volunteers were dispatched for the working barn fire on Meshoppen Creek Road. Crews operated on scene for approximately 4 hours in -6 degree weather and then spent an additional 4 hours cleaning up and thawing the trucks. A huge thank you to all of our mutual aid.
